Kubu Indah Dive & Spa Resort
Located on Bali’s northeast coast, the lovely Kubu Indah Dive & Spa Resort is perfectly located for exploring the brilliant diversity of Bali underwater, as well as sampling the island’s rich cultural heritage.
Kubu Indah’s bungalows and villas, some with private pools, offer upscale accommodation set amongst beautiful beachfront gardens. Divers will enjoy the simplicity of shore dives on the house reef, as well as trips further afield. After diving, relax by the pool with the stunning sea views of the azure waters of Tulamben in front, and the incredible scenic backdrop of Mount Agung behind.

Hotel Services/Facilities: This beachfront property has a sea-view infinity pool (as well as a number of private pools) with plenty of sun loungers and space to relax amongst its elegantly manicured gardens. Kubu Indah’s onsite PADI 5 Star dive centre and tour desk take care of all your diving and excursion needs.
Treat yourself to a traditional Balinese treatment with organic botanicals at the lovely Spa, and enjoy the authentic ambiance from open-air rooms set in the tropical gardens. There is free Wi-Fi available in public areas.
Food, Beverage & Entertainment Facilities: An open-air, covered restaurant serves food all day and you can enjoy delicious authentic local and international fare. There is also a garden bar with a large selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Both the bar and restaurant have sea views and are the perfect spot after a great day’s diving for a cold beer or a sundowner.
For those wishing to explore the local cuisine of Tulamben, there are many restaurants to choose from just a short distance away from the resort.
Transfers: The resort is a two hour transfer by road from the airport through the beautiful scenery of Bali.
Kubu Indah Dive & Spa Resort has 16 rooms, each with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, a safety deposit box, hot and cold running water, and a minibar.
15 Superior and Deluxe Garden Bungalows are nestled in the beautiful gardens, with the Deluxe Bungalows enjoying a partial view of the sea. Each has its own terrace and measures 31sqm. The Bungalows are built of high-quality materials in a modern Balinese style, and are furnished harmoniously, with a thatched ‘Alang Alang’ roof. These offer twin-bed or double bed options.
1 Garden Villa located right next to the resort. The Villa is spacious with 130sqm area, and the added benefit of a daily housekeeping service. Built in a modern style, the Villa has two separate air-conditioned bedrooms – one with a double bed, one with twin or double -with private bathroom, a large living/dining room, functional kitchen, large terrace, and a 4m x 8m swimming pool. The private garden offers plenty of space to relax and a daybed from which to enjoy stunning volcano views. The Villa is ideal for families.
Kubu Indah is a PADI 5 Star Resort owned and operated by divers for divers. The dive centre is located in the middle of the resort so you never have to go far for your next dive adventure to begin. With its own House Reef, Kubu Indah offers dives straight from the shore, without the need for a boat or car ride, offering a wealth of critters and ample opportunities for macro photographers.
This is a full-service centre, with a complete range of PADI courses and high quality rental equipment available. The centre offers a training pool and onsite classroom which also makes it a great place to learn to dive. There’s also an equipment store for clients’ own equipment and the dive centre staff rinse your gear for you each day, leaving you more time to relax after diving. Night dives can be enjoyed on the House Reef.
Kubu Indah offers up to four guided dives per day. There are many sites within just fifteen minutes drive of the resort, most of which can be accessed directly from the shore, with tours focusing on the main areas of Tulamben, Amed and Kubu.
The resort offers over 20 dives sites close by, where you can enjoy the abundance and diversity of this part of the Coral Triangle.
Top of the list to dive is the world famous Liberty Wreck, an American troop carrier which sank in WWII and is lying in just 9-30m of water. This is an absolute must-see in Bali, with the entire range of tropical reef fish, big schools of fish and many hard and soft corals easily seen – a paradise for divers, macro photographers, and snorkelers alike.
Day trips can be organised to visit Nusa Penida. This island is just off the southeast corner of Bali and boasts a multitude of gorgeous dive sites, with the chance for a lot of great sightings, including Mola Mola, silver-tip sharks, turtles, and a vast array of tropical reef fish. The famous Manta Point is also located here, and Manta spotting is pretty much guaranteed all year long.
