Underwater, Cyprus offers much to discover. World class wrecks – including the renowned Zenobia known as the ‘Titanic of the Mediterranean’ – are one of the main attractions but divers will be equally enthralled by the spectacular topography of canyons, caves and tunnels. There is always something unique and interesting to discover – from ancient archaeological remains to the 90+ sculptures at MUSAN, the Museum of Underwater Sculpture Ayia Napa.

Cyprus is committed to preserving its heritage and natural wonders for future generations and there are currently seven Marine Protected Areas containing artificial reefs across the island. The waters are abundant with marine life, typically a wide variety of colourful fish, sponges, octopus, sea anemones, moray eels and more, besides the occasional sea turtles and rarer Mediterranean Seal.

Boat diving and shore diving are both available here. Gently shelving sandy beaches and rocky inlets offer the perfect opportunity for new divers to take their first breaths underwater in the open sea. The many exciting wrecks and deeper dives are adventurous enough for experienced divers and those wishing to extend their skills.
