The diving capital of the Yucatan
Playa Del Carmen is the perfect location to start exploring the Riviera Maya to the north and south. Scuba diving options are everywhere: along Playa Del Carmen’s coastline, in the nearby jungle and off on the islands. Drift diving is common in Playa del Carmen, making it easy to float effortlessly from one turtle to the next or glide along deep walls and wrecks. The same current that carries divers along also ensures great visibility. Playa Del Carmen is a magical place for divers.
Transfers are approx. 45 minutes from the airport
From December to March visitors can scuba dive with bull sharks, while from mid-May to mid-September you can snorkel with great numbers of whale sharks, the largest fish in the sea!
