LUXURY LIVEABOARD HOLIDAYS TO TRUK
When you are looking for something with a little more luxury then Truk Odyssey is the liveaboard for you. Originally a cruise ship for 40 passengers, she has been re-modelled into a comfortable and well equipped steel hulled dive vessel accommodating up to 16 divers. The experienced crew will take you diving on your bucket list of dream dives in the lagoon. With so many WWII wrecks to choose from, you could return for many years and never have the same dive experience twice!
MV Odyssey is the perfect choice for technical divers with oxygen and a number of twin cylinders available onboard for hire. With up to 5 dives a day planned, this is a great option for serious divers!
Liveaboard Services/Facilities: On the main deck is the large, fully carpeted, dining room complete with picture windows. The comfortable lounge is the perfect place to relax with a well-stocked bar and TV/DVD. large picture windows. Just behind the dining area there is a nice size, partially covered, sun deck with lounge and deck chairs.
Food, Beverage & Entertainment Facilities: All meals, snacks and all beverages including beer and wine are included. Breakfasts include a hot breakfast plus toast, cereals, fruit and juices. Guests are served delicious lunches and snacks throughout the day. Evening meals are buffet style with hot, savoury, hearty dishes. Enjoy watching one of over 500 movies in the comfortable lounge, or indulge in the well-stocked library.
Included: Full board meal plan plus mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks, all local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, up to 5 dives a day with 12ltr tanks, Nitrox, and weights. No extra charge for double tanks and pony bottles.
Not included: Flight/US ESTA visa, diving equipment, tanks other than 12 litres, technical diving gasses and equipment, Dive Permit $50 – paid in advance. Fees are subject to change without notice. Visa, MasterCard and USD dollars are accepted.
Boarding: Saturday from 5pm.
Check out: Saturday morning at 8 am. Transportation is provided back to Truk airport or we can book day use at a local hotel with a later transfer back to the airport (please ask for costs).
The MV Odyssey sleeps up to 16 guests in 9 large, luxurious cabins. All fully carpeted with private air conditioning controls, windows or large portholes, and private toilet, shower and sink. 2 cabins are available for single travellers at no extra charge. All cabins have a 32″ monitor with access to onboard entertainment system.
Specification: Built in 1978 with a compete refit in 2018, she is 40 metres long with an 7 metre beam. Built and powered for comfort, safety and stability. 2 x Detroit Diesel 330 h.p. engines and cruise at 8 knots, with 110-volt power onboard. 3 x Perkins/Stamford generators and 2 x Mako 13.1 CFM 5000 PSI compressors.
Navigation and Safety: Magellan GPS, Furuno GPS, Furuno Depth Sounder, Compass, Furuno weatherfax and Comnav Autopilot. Life rings, life jackets, fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, fire alarms and firefighting suit. 25 person RFD Survive inflatables

Diving is from the large dive platform complete with personal dive lockers, rinse tanks and freshwater shower. There are also two aluminium dive tenders if required. Photographers have a designated area with a 3-tier station and dedicated camera rinse tanks. Up to five dives a day are planned with a night dive offered each day. Experienced Divemasters accompany each dive, which are preceded by a full briefing.
Nitrox is included and technical diving is available. A range of courses can be booked onboard.
